Looking for a unique way to experience Niseko? Step away from the crowds and into a winter wonderland with our Snowshoe Tours. Our expert guides know the most beautiful, hidden spots around Niseko, where you’ll experience a true winter wonderland in untouched nature.
We’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to these magical, off-the-beaten-path spots. Once there, we’ll provide all necessary equipment (snowshoes, hiking poles, and snow gaiters) and guide you on how to use it before we head out into the pristine snow for an unforgettable experience. Our tour is tailored to you and your group’s preferences, with the pace and terrain adjusted to suit families or friends.
You’ll also have plenty of time to take photos in the stunning, snow-covered forest. If we’re lucky or quiet enough, we may even spot some local wildlife, such as the Hokkaido red fox, squirrels, or deer. After the tour, we’ll bring you back to your hotel.
Or, choose our Snowshoe Experience and finish the trip with a visit to a local onsen for relaxation and rejuvenation. We’ll also stop at the famous Dairy Farm Milk Kobo, where you can enjoy the best ice cream, cheese tarts, cream puffs, and more.
What To Wear
**Snowshoes, poles and snow gaiters are included in the tour price.
During peak periods—such as Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year—we book out very quickly, often well before the season even begins.
For other times of the season, we generally have more availability, but we still recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.
The snowshoe tour price includes transportation from your accommodation to the snowshoe destination and back. It also covers all equipment—snowshoes, adjustable poles, snow gaiters—as well as the guiding fee.
The price depends on the selected package: a 2-hour tour or a 5-hour experience.
A 20% deposit is required within 24 hours of booking confirmation to secure your tour. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your tour start date.
Please note: Your booking will not be held if the deposit is not received within 24 hours of confirmation.
All our tours are private. One guide can take up to 8 people per group. For larger groups, we can add an additional tail guide for your safety.
The minimum requirement is 2 people per tour.
We offer snowshoe tours for children aged 8 years and older.
Yes, all of our snowshoe guides are fluent English speakers.
If you prefer another language, we can arrange that too—Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Slovenian, Czech, and more are available upon request. Just let us know your preference when booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Yes, we do! Pick-up and drop-off service from your accommodation and back is included in the price.
